Sad I'm not headed to the Stampin' Up! Convention

Last night several of us helped my upline Jacki and sideline Maureen work on their swaps for Convention. It was my way of feeling part of it since I am not able to attend this year. I am feeling a little sad about it. Everyone is heading out there today and tomorrow they will go to check in and get their convention bag and the new catalog. Then Thursday starts the convention. I look forward to hearing all the exciting news from Jacki. Hopefully I'll get to go next year. I went the last two years and it was wonderful. So many exciting ideas.

To Jacki, Maureen, Christin, Gail and all those other wonderful Stampin' Up! Demonstrators - Have a wonderful time! I can't wait to hear all about it.

Stormy Sunday

Hi everyone,

Hope you all are weathering the storms today. I love summer thunderstorms, always have. Today we had some good ones. I spent yesterday running errands and then attending my friends 13 year old son's birthday party. It was a beautiful day for the party and I had a great time.

Today I took my daughter out to order her birthday cake for next weekend, decorations and then we had lunch together. She is going to spend the day with several friends at the water park in Ocean City and then back to the house for a cookout and cake with her friends and family.

Here are some samples of cards using the Fresh Cut Flowers stamp set and note cards that will be in the Stampin' Up! Fall/Winter Idea Book and Catalog. Come to my Open House on Sunday, August 10th to preview the new catalog and some of the new stamp sets and In Colors. Let me know if you can attend at hustedde@msn.com. It will be from 1 pm to 4 pm. There will be refreshments, give-a-ways and samples. Contact me for details on how you can get a catalog for FREE.

My cold continues.

Well, I was hoping that I was on the mend but today my head just got more and more congested and I'm sneezing and coughing now. I feel like my face is going to explode. Hopefully I don't get anyone at work sick. Luckily I'm there by myself a lot. If it wasn't so hot and we weren't so busy I would stay home.

Since I have been sick for about a week now I haven't been able to do any new projects so I thought I'd share a past one. In December each year our group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators have a holiday breakfast and do a gift exchange where you can keep the gift you pick or steal some else's. It's always fun. We either spend $10 on a gift or make something. This year I printed Stampin' Up!'s Statement of the Heart on Velumn paper, used the On Gossamer Wings Stamp Set, Watercolor Crayons and Blender pen. I cut out the stamped items and placed them on the frame of the statement then put it in a glass shadow box. It's just another way you can use stamping to showcase a picture or phrase or momento.

Some Exciting News From Stampin' Up!

Well, Stampin' Up! is moving into the online ordering era. Starting in the Fall you will be able to order through my Demonstrator Website at http://www.donnahustedde.stampinup.net/ and receive the same catalog pricing and benefits you would normally. However for any Specials that are NOT Stampin' Up! Specials but are MY OWN Specials you will have to order through me directly as those Specials would not be able to be purchased on-line.

If you want to read more about this check out Stampin' Up!'s website http://www.stampinup.com/us/enu/11319.asp.

As this is very exciting please know that I will still be doing workshops, clubs, stamp-a-stacks and more as the PERSONAL relationships I have with you are very important to me.

Hello!

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't been around since last week. I got a bad sinus infection that started Thursday and by Saturday I was really sick and then Sunday when I took a shower I pinched a nerve in my neck while towel drying my hair. It happens to me every once in awhile. I was home sick from work yesterday but felt a little better today and had to go to work. My boss was making fun of me when I had to turn my whole body to talk to him, instead of just me head. He would start cracking up. When got a good laugh out of it. Thank goodness for a great boss.

So, I am feeling better and hoping I am on the mend.

A Long Day

Hi All,

Today I was up at 5 am and out the door by 6 am. I had to work in our Norristown, PA office. It's a 1 hour 45 minute drive in the morning and it took me about the same amount of time to get home today. I was suprised given that I did not leave the Norristown office till 5 pm. I was shocked at how light the traffice was. I may have to go back Thursday and/or Friday. I'll know tomorrow afternoon. I would be going tomorrow but I am taking my daughter to see her school counselor so we can discuss options for her for college. Since she is going into her Senior year of High Schoo I want to find out what her options are for college (money wise). Hard to believe she's going to be a senior.

Yesterday was my birthday. I had dinner with some friends from the SJ Stampers (who meet one Monday a month at the Mays Landing Library), Cheryl, Luanne and Dottie. Thank you for the company and a fun time. We then had our Stamp Club meeting and I taught them how to make this cute paper tote. It was a lot of fun and I enjoyed doing it. It was a nice way to spend my birthday evening.

If you like this tote and would like to learn how to make it I can put together a class for you and your friends. Just contact me at hustedde@msn.com.
Have a great evening everyone!

I guess it's Sunday already.

I just sat down after a long and productive day to post. I spent today cleaning me stamp and scrap room (of course I have too much stuff for it to ever really be too clean). I had fun putting away my new goodies from my Secret Stamper Carolyn. Thank you so much Carolyn for all the wonderful gifts this past year. I also re-organized my scrapbooking bags, got them packed and ready for my next scrapbooking weekend away at Simply Cropping in August. I can't wait! I love my scrapbook weekends.

I also got some of my, to-do list, stuff done today. I'm hoping to get more done tomorrow, oh, I mean today, after I get some sleep.

Ribbon Jar

The Secret Stamper that I had, Terry, gave me this adorable Ribbon Jar as a Thank You gift. Isn't it adorable?

Earlier this evening we had our Secret Stamper reveal. I was 98% sure of who had me and I was 98% WRONG! My friend Carolyn had me. It was so funny because I was sure it was Jean and she played along, leading me to think it might be and when she revealed who she had and it wasn't me I was stumped. Several of them have been having fun throughout this year watching me think it was Jean.

I want to thank Carolyn for all the wonderful gifts. I got so many papercrafted items as well as other wonderful things this past year. I have posted a few of the things from tonight. She does a great job!

She has been wonderful to me throught the year. I'm very lucky!

Rainy Day

Well here I am home alone on a cloudy and rainy Sunday. It is nice. Hardly ever happens. Husband is out with his friends and my daughter is at a friends. So, it's just me and the puppy (Cisco - he's 5 months old). So of course it's like having a 2 year old. He wants my attention all the time. I did manage to do some cleaning (threw him outside for a bit to do that) and am doing some laundry. I was going to go stamp but I think I'll just relax for a while. Cisco just fell asleep again (it is like having a 2 year old because he takes naps, doesn't listen - LOL). But he is a wonderful addition to our family. There's nothing like that unconditional love.

Welcome

Welcome to my first blog. I am in the process of setting up this blog. My Stampin' Up! Upline and a fellow demonstrator that I am good friends with have started blogs and I can't be left in the dust. So here I go, into the blogging world. Like I have time for this - LOL! :)

I am currently enjoying a quiet 4th of July holiday weekend. It's so nice to have 3 days off work. I normally work Mon to Fri from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm at my full time job as a Business Department Manager for a Commercial Heating and Air Conditioning Company. I basically am the only one in the office, besides my boss who is the General Manager, and two Sales People. So, that means I answer the phones, dispatch the technicians, handle all the paperwork from data entry to billings, etc. I worked for another company for 19 years (doing some of these duties at different times) and have worked for this company for 3 years now. Since this is a start up company I do everything and more than I did at the other company (but at the same time). I enjoy it and feel privileged to be on the ground floor and what the company grow.

Besides doing my full time job I sell Stampin' Up! too. I hold stamp clubs, do workshops, hold classes and vend at crops. I really enjoying meeting others who share my passion for being creative. Whether it be stamping or scrapbooking.

I'm off to play around with the layout of this blog. I hope to get some of my cards and scrapbooking up soon. So, check back!
