MS Bike Ride City to Shore

Well today I spent the day meeting up with my boss, owner of our company, one of our employees and some others, which made up a group of 9 for TEAM TUSTIN. They rode in the City to Shore MS Bike Ride today. It was 75 miles. Tomorrow a few of them, but not all, will ride the 75 miles back. It started in Cherry Hill this morning and ending in Ocean City. I first met up with them at the Hess School in Mays Landing for one of their rest stops. I then headed over to Ocean City, met up with some co-workers and the owners wife to watch them come it. Here are a few Pictures of them. WAY TO GO TEAM TUSTIN! HELPING TO RAISE MONEY FOR MS!

Mini Backpack

Here is a really cute Paper Mini Backpack I saw on Splitcoaststampers.com. I took my idea from Tonya (stampvamp). She has a wonderful tutorial on her blog at: http://www.stamphappens.com/.
Let me know what you think. It is an adorable little backpack. I thought it would be cute as a gift card holder. Put tissue paper inside and a gift card. You could also put a cute 3 x 3 card in the front pocket as the TO and FROM.

Halloween Card Swap

These are the card fronts that I received from a Halloween Card Swap I was in with some fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. All but one of them used the same Halloween Stamp Set, Batty for You. I guess great minds think alike. LOL!

Some really cute ideas for the stamp set.

Fun with my Big Shot!

This weekend I got to play with my new Stampin' Up! Big Shot and made these really cute samples.

So the first die I played with was the Pillow Box. I created this Pillow Box using Retired Designer Series Paper, White Taffeta Ribbon, Flower Fushions and the Pretties Kit.

Next die I played with was the Baskets & Blooms Bigz XL. I used Bella Rose Designer Deries Paper, White Taffeta Ribbon and the Pretties Kit.

On this Basket I used Ghostly Greetings Designer Series Paper, Flower Fushion, Silver Cord and the Pretties Kit. I also stamped Happy Halloween from the All Holidays Stamp Set in black on Whisper White paper and used the corner round to help create the tag. I covered York Peppermint Patties with card stock using the Scallop Punch, 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 Circle Punches and the Batty for You Stamp Set.

Last die I played with was the Snowflake #2. I cut Sparkly Felt I picked up at a local craft store. It worked just like cutting paper. There are a list of many different materials that can be cut using the Big Shot and it can be found on my Stampin' Up! Website.

Thank you for looking. If you are interested in purchasing the Stampin' Up! Big Shot or any of the Dies please contact me at hustedde@msn.com for information on how you can get this great cutting system and earn free product from the Idea Book & Catalog.

My Big Shot is Here!

Well my Stampin' Up! Big Shot and pre-order from the new 2008 Holiday Mini has arrived. Here is a picture of some of the items. I had planned to play with the Big Shot this evening but my back is really bad and I'm sitting on the heating pad right now trying to get it to calm down. I guess it will have to wait till after work tomorrow. I see another weekend of playing in my craftroom in my future. Yipee! I always enjoy spending a weekend like that. I will post pictures this weekend of different things I create.

Stormy Tuesday

I don't know about you all but we had a wicked storm blow through Hammonton at noon today. I got out to pick up my lunch and go to the bank just before it started. The sky got black, the wind kicked up, there were bolts of lightening and thunder. Then the heavy rain came down. It was awesome. I love thunderstorms.

I wish I could have been home instead of at work. It would have been great to be working in my craft room with a thunderstorm outside.

I did come home after I got off work, ate dinner and then went to work on my swaps for my SU Demonstrator group. Here is the card front that I did.

Stamp Set: Batty For You
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Whisper White,
Kiwi Kiss and DSP
Ink: Versa Mark, Kiwi Kiss, Basic Black
Accessories: Black Grossgrain Ribbon, Black Brad, Circle Punches,
Black and Irridenscent Ice Embossing Powders, Heat Gun and Stampin' Dimensionals.

New Toys

Well when I got home from work today (well, actually yesterday, since it's after midnight now) there was a box from Stampin' Up! of new items I ordered from the Stampin' Up! catalog. After dinner I went to my craft room opened the box and this is what I saw.
I went to work right away mounting the stamp sets and putting all my goodies away. I then created two of my three cards for my September Stamp Clubs. I don't want to spoil the surprise for the club members so I will wait till after the clubs meet to post pictures of the cards.
We are expecting Hanna to come through our way today and bring lots of rain and wind. I hope everyone stays dry and safe. I know I will be playing in my craft room all day so I will be dry.

Happy Wednesday!

Well, after checking my Stampin' Up! Upline Jacki's blog just now I noticed a new background to hers. So I followed her link to http://www.thecutestblogontheblock.com/index.php where I got this FREE background. It is so cute. I hope you like it.

This past weekend one of the projects I worked on was a Wedding Card for a friend who is getting married this Friday. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the background and also used the Stampin' Up! Pretties Kit to embelish the card. Here it is. Let me know what you think.

Faux Silk Card

I had read about a Faux Silk technique and wanted to give it a try. You take a piece of tissue paper, stamp your image on it, then crumble it up. Straighten it back out and adhear it to the paper. This give it a faux silk look. It is hard to tell in the picture. I used versa mark to stamp the saying "embrace life" on Pacific Point card stock and used white embossing powder and heat gun.

Stamp set used: Embrace Life
Cards Stock: Whisper White, the new In Colors Baja Breeze and Pacific Point.
Ink: Versa Mark, the new In Colors Baja Breeze and Pacific Point
Supplies: White Pearls from the Pretties Kit
White Ribbon
White Tissue Paper
Large Oval Punch
White Embossing Powder and Heat Gun
