Big Shot

Just wanted to show you this Felt Christmas Tree I made. I used green, adhesive backed, felt and the Sizzix Tree die. I ran it through the Big Shot and it cut is perfectly. I then stamped on the felt, using versamark ink, sprinkled with glittery red embossing powder and heat set. I then had a beautiful Tree Die Cut that I stuck on Gift Bags and Tied with green and red ribbon. One of the items I have been selling at my craft shows.

Update on My Toe

Well, it has been a week and a half and my foot still hurts really bad. The swelling has gone down but the 3 neighboring toes, to the fractured baby toe, are still black and blue. The specialist said that had I fractured any other toe on my foot this way they'd have to do surgery. The fractured off piece of bone is near the joint so they are going to x-ray it again this coming Monday to make sure it's healing and the piece of bone hasn't moved. Hard to believe I did this just by walking into our dog.

I Love the Holiday Season

Each month, on a Monday, the SJ Stampers meet at the Atlantic County Library in Mays Landing, NJ, to share ideas and learn new techniques. This past Monday was the Holiday Celebration. We each brought food to share and a Pollyanna Gift. We also did a Holiday card swap.
You make a card to swap, bring it, and get a card in return. Here is the beautiful card I got. It is made by one of my Stampin' Up! customers, Mary Jo. Great Job Mary Jo! It is a beautiful card.
Here is the Pollyanna Gift I received. It is Martha Stewarts Glittering Set. I'm looking forward to trying it. I don't know who brought it but I hope they see this because I want to say THANK YOU!

I love this time of year. I enjoy getting together with family and friends. I love the sites and sounds of the holiday also. Boy, Monday was really cold too. Sure felt like winter. Today it was 60 degrees, didn't feel like winter. But I believe the cold is coming back Friday.

Stay Warm!

Craft Show

Today I spent the day at a craft show at a friends home selling items I made. There were lots of great gift ideas for Stocking Stuffers, Pollyanna Gifts, Teacher Gifts, etc. Here is a picture of my table.
I will be at the Oakcrest High School, in Mays Landing on Saturday, 12/13/08, from 10 am to 3 pm along with over 30 other crafters and vendors. Come out and do some Christmas Shopping. Here is the flyer with details on this craft show.

24 Days till Christmas

Can you believe Christmas is only 24 days away? I can't. I hope you all enjoyed the rest of your Thanksgiving weekend. We had a wonderful dinner at my parents on Saturday.

I spent the rest of Saturday busily working on my craft show items and then again yesterday till around 5 pm when I walked into the dog, at a good clip, and broke my baby toe on my right foot. Yes, it swelled right away and after putting ice on it a few times and trying to walk on it I decided to head to Urgent Care to get it check out. It's broke. There is a piece of bone chipped off at the bottom of the toe where the top of the foot starts. Boy does it hurt. As long as I don't move it, try to walk on it or touch it I'm fine. They gave me crutches and told me to stay off of it for a week. Well, you should see me try to use the crutches. That is another injury waiting to happen so I think I have to bag them. They also gave me a surgical shoe to where and taped the toe to the neighboring toe. The shoe does help when walking.

So, here I sit at home resting my foot. I have an appointment this afternoon with an Orthopedic doctor to have it checked and find out what I should and shouldn't do. I didn't have much confidence in the doctor at Urgent care. Kind of feel the crutches was a bit overkill. So we'll see what the specialist says.

I hope you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving Day. I am spending my free time on my 4 day holiday weekend getting ready for a couple craft shows I am doing in December. Here is a tealight candle holder I made. Just one of many, many things I have created.

Cute Holiday Card

Well, Thursday evening I attended a Stampin' Up! Downline meeting at my Upline's Upline, Gail Murray's. We talk about Stampin' Up! and share ideas. Several demonstrators brought projects for us to do and here is a really cute Holiday Card that one of my friends, Maureen Gold http://happystampingmom.blogspot.com/, brought for us to do. I just love the colors. Kiwi Kiss, Kraft and Whisper White. Also the stamp set used is Punch Pals.

Swap Card

Well the previous post shows the swap card I did for my Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Swap I was in this month. Too bad the theme I did was for December's Swap. At lease December's is done and in Jacki's hands. So the theme was 3 x 3 Christmas Card for November. Here is my 3x3 card which I did Sunday and mailed out to her on Monday. The cute Santa on the front was taught to me by my good friend Jean Delaney. It uses the scallop circle punch, 1 1/4 square punch and word window punch to make it. I think it's really adorable.

Here is the Santa spiced up a little with a Jewel for the nose and pomp pomp for the hat. My good friend and Stampin' Up! upline, Jacki Montgomery, had suggested to Jean to use a pomp pomp on the hat. I made a bunch of these up to put on the front of Gift Card Holders.

Happy Wednesday

Hi all,

Well I haven't been real creative lately, I thought maybe I was having a hard time recovering from my scrapping weekend but I think I may be coming down with something. I'm starting to get congested and starting with a little sore throat.

I did spend the evening Monday evening working on cards that I did at my Stamp-A-Stack. I did five each of the five designs so that was 25 cards.

Yesterday, Tuesday - Election Day, I went with my daughter to vote after work. It was my daughters 1st time voting as she turned 18 this year. It was a great experience to be able to vote with her. We are so proud of her. I can't believe how fast time has gone. You blink and they are adults. So, I was proud and sad at the same time.

Have a great day!

MIA

WOW, I can't believe how long it's been since I posted. Since my last post the time has flown by very quickly. Work was busy, I had several family issues to deal with and then there was getting ready for my Scrapbooking weekend. I went to the Pocono's to the Fall Simply Cropping Getaway. What a great time. I went up with my mom and sister and then we were joined by my best friends and fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, Jacki, Jean and Carolyn. Jacki was scrapbooking and Jean and Carolyn were stamping and working on project for craft shows and up coming classes.

Jacki, Jean and Carolyn came up on Friday and left Sunday afternoon.

My sister, mom and myself went up the night before, Thursday, and then stayed over on Sunday night, slept in Monday morning and went to the outlets and did a little shopping. It was a wonderful weekend and I really enjoyed the time with my family and friends. We did break a little to watch some of the World Series games. It was exciting. Way to go Phillie's on winning the World Series!

So here I am home and getting ready for my Stamp-A-Stack today. This week I was very busy at work then came home and crashed from still being tired from the Scrapbooking weekend. Last night I spent cleaning and handing out candy to the Trick-or-Treaters.

I will be busy in the next month holding my stamp clubs, making items for several craft shows I'm in and the holiday's. HAPPY NOVEMBER! I will keep you updated on what is upcoming and I will post pictures of items I create.

Thank You Card

This is a Thank You card I made using the Stamp' Up! Top Notch Die for the Big Shot Machine. I used the Upsy Daisy Stamp Set and the saying is from Fresh Cuts Stamp Set. The pattern paper is from the Urban Garden Paper Pack.

Cards for Upcoming Workshop

These are the Halloween and Thanksgiving cards I made for a workshop I am doing this week. The Halloween card is one I took from my fellow demonstrator Maureen Gold that I got in a card front swap we did. Check out her blog at http://happystampingmom.blogspot.com/. These card front swaps are nice because we share ideas this way. I used a different saying and stamp for one of the faces. I thought it was a really cute card using that stamp set. Thanks for the idea Maureen!

Halloween Card (all Stampin' Up! Products): Stamp Set is - Batty for you. I used Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black and Whisper White Card Stock. Basic Black and Old Olive Classic Ink and Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon. I also used the Crimper, Circle and Square Punches.

Thanksgiving Card (all Stampin' Up! Products): Stamp Set is - Window Dressing (a Level 3 Hostess Set you can only earn for free by holding a workshop - contact me for details) and All Holidays. I used More Mustard, Really Rust and Whisper White. Also, Designer Series Paper from the 6x6 Paper Pack from the Level 1 Hostess Sets (this can only be earned for free by holding a workshop - contact me for details). I used the Felt Ribbon from the Holiday Mini Catalog, Scallop Circle Punch and Circle Punch as well as markers to color in the image.

MS Bike Ride City to Shore

Well today I spent the day meeting up with my boss, owner of our company, one of our employees and some others, which made up a group of 9 for TEAM TUSTIN. They rode in the City to Shore MS Bike Ride today. It was 75 miles. Tomorrow a few of them, but not all, will ride the 75 miles back. It started in Cherry Hill this morning and ending in Ocean City. I first met up with them at the Hess School in Mays Landing for one of their rest stops. I then headed over to Ocean City, met up with some co-workers and the owners wife to watch them come it. Here are a few Pictures of them. WAY TO GO TEAM TUSTIN! HELPING TO RAISE MONEY FOR MS!

Mini Backpack

Here is a really cute Paper Mini Backpack I saw on Splitcoaststampers.com. I took my idea from Tonya (stampvamp). She has a wonderful tutorial on her blog at: http://www.stamphappens.com/.
Let me know what you think. It is an adorable little backpack. I thought it would be cute as a gift card holder. Put tissue paper inside and a gift card. You could also put a cute 3 x 3 card in the front pocket as the TO and FROM.

Halloween Card Swap

These are the card fronts that I received from a Halloween Card Swap I was in with some fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. All but one of them used the same Halloween Stamp Set, Batty for You. I guess great minds think alike. LOL!

Some really cute ideas for the stamp set.

Fun with my Big Shot!

This weekend I got to play with my new Stampin' Up! Big Shot and made these really cute samples.

So the first die I played with was the Pillow Box. I created this Pillow Box using Retired Designer Series Paper, White Taffeta Ribbon, Flower Fushions and the Pretties Kit.

Next die I played with was the Baskets & Blooms Bigz XL. I used Bella Rose Designer Deries Paper, White Taffeta Ribbon and the Pretties Kit.

On this Basket I used Ghostly Greetings Designer Series Paper, Flower Fushion, Silver Cord and the Pretties Kit. I also stamped Happy Halloween from the All Holidays Stamp Set in black on Whisper White paper and used the corner round to help create the tag. I covered York Peppermint Patties with card stock using the Scallop Punch, 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 Circle Punches and the Batty for You Stamp Set.

Last die I played with was the Snowflake #2. I cut Sparkly Felt I picked up at a local craft store. It worked just like cutting paper. There are a list of many different materials that can be cut using the Big Shot and it can be found on my Stampin' Up! Website.

Thank you for looking. If you are interested in purchasing the Stampin' Up! Big Shot or any of the Dies please contact me at hustedde@msn.com for information on how you can get this great cutting system and earn free product from the Idea Book & Catalog.
